The Starting Point

Due to the exponential rate of capital growth that I am attempting to achieve here, the above results are displayed using a semi-logarithmic y-axis. If it was a linear y-axis, it would be very difficult to visualise any progress being made on the left half of the graph, hence the reason for displaying it this way. In linear form, the target run rate for growth actually looks like this:

As you can see, even though the starting position on the chart is £1,500, it’s very difficult to distinguish it from the £1,000 marker, despite it being a 50% increase on £1,000.
